Elvis Andrus survived his first game action since April 11 this evening, playing five innings at shortstop for the Frisco Roughriders as he begins his rehab stint. Elvis went 0 for 3 in what was his first minor league action since 2008, and appeared to have no issues.
Elvis has been on the disabled list since being hit on the elbow by a Kenyon Middleton pitch in the 9th inning of a 7-2 loss to the Angels on April 11. That HBP resulted in a broken elbow, and the first d.l. stint of Elvis’s major league career.
