The Texas Rangers made a number of roster moves involving their minor league affiliates today, with the most notable being infielder Ryan Dorow and relief pitcher Scott Engler being promoted from AA Frisco to AAA Round Rock.
Dorow, who turns 26 in August, has been terrific for the Roughriders this year, slashing .333/.394/.600 for Frisco while playing all three infield positions. Dorow’s glove work for Frisco has gotten very good reviews, and he won the organization’s minor league defender of the year award in 2018. Dorow was originally a 30th round pick in 2017 out of Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan.
