Major league baseball lost two of its former players to cancer last night.
Don Baylor, longtime outfielder and DH, 1979 American League MVP, and former manager, passed away in the night at the age of 68 for multiple myeloma. The Austin, Texas, native made playoff appearances seven times for five different teams, and made it to the World Series in 1986, 1987 and 1988, each time with a different club.
Darren Daulton, former Philadelphia Phillies catcher, passed away last night as well. Daulton was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2013. Daulton made it to the World Series with Philadelphia in 1993, as well as with the Florida Marlins in 1997, his final season in the majors.
