The Los Angeles Dodgers made a few roster moves today. One of those moves was to select the contract of former Ranger closer Neftali Feliz. Another of those moves, made to open up a 40 man roster spot for Feliz, was to put former Ranger starter Cole Hamels on the 60 day injured list.
Strange how these things happen. Feliz hadn’t, prior to this season, pitched in the majors since 2017. He was pitching well for the Phillies’ AAA team earlier this year, got called up in late June by a Phillies team that was desperate for pitching, appeared in two games, faced nine batters, retired three of them, and was released.
