ARLINGTON -- Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields has been placed on the seven-day disabled list with post-concussion syndrome and utility player Drew Robinson has been called up from Triple-A Round Rock.
DeShields came out of a game in Boston on July 11 when he hit his head trying to make a play on defense. He was scratched from Friday's lineup with headaches and has gone into Major League Baseball's concussion protocol.
Robinson has played in 26 games for the Rangers with a .175 batting average.
