Dahl, Davis each leave today’s game

Texas Rangers outfielder David Dahl and designated hitter Khris Davis each left today’s game against the Colorado Rockies prematurely, though in each case it appears to be a precautionary measure.

Dahl left the game in the fourth inning due to a sore right knee, which was the result of fouling a ball off his knee. Given Dahl’s injury history, there was understandable concern when he was seen leaving the game, but the team has announced it was for precautionary purposes only.

As I was preparing to do this post about Dahl, Khris Davis was hit in the helmet by a 96 mph fastball.
