Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager has been named to the American League All Star team. This news was announced yesterday, but with the exciting game, the first day of the draft, and everything else, I am just now putting up a post about it.
Seager is replacing the injured Carlos Correa on the roster. Seager has slashed .270/.355/.479 on the year, with a 3.1 bWAR in 83 games. This is Seager’s fifth All Star appearance — he previously was on the All Star team in 2016, 2017, 2022, and 2023. He has now made the team in all three of his seasons with the Rangers.
