Corbin Burnes to the D-Backs, per reports

Free agent pitcher Corbin Burnes and the Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to terms on a six year, $210 million deal with an opt-out after year two, per reports.

The 30 year old righthander had an 8.82 ERA in 49 innings in 2019, but since then has been one of the best pitchers in the game, putting up a 2.88 ERA and 3.01 FIP in 816 innings over the past five seasons, including a Cy Young Award with the Brewers in 2021. With Burnes entering his walk year last offseason, Milwaukee traded him to the Baltimore Orioles, for whom Burnes put up a 2.
