SURPRISE, Ariz. - Cole Hamels' offseason was mundane.
It was refreshing.
Mostly it consisted of chasing his children and working out. There was no more ranking of potential playing destinations, an exercise he and wife Heidi tediously undertook after 2014 when it was all but assumed that rebuilding Philadelphia would eventually trade him.
