BALTIMORE -- Lefty reliever Alex Claudio was put on the 10-day disabled list Saturday, retroactive to Thursday, due to a left ankle sprain he suffered earlier in the week.
Claudio is 4-2 and has a 0.96 ERA in his last seven games. Manager Jeff Banister said he expects Claudio to be fine after a few days rest, and that this isn't serious. The injury happened on Wednesday.
"[When] coming off the mound the last night in Boston, rolled it a little bit," Banister said. "[We] tried to be conservative with him the first two days.
