BOSTON -- For the second time in this series against the Red Sox, Rangers All-Star Shin-Soo Choo was absent from the starting lineup. But it wasn't because left-hander Chris Sale was pitching, Texas manager Jeff Banister said.
"It's been consistent of how we've done, as far as structure of the lineup with [Adrian Beltre] in the DH slot," Banister said.
Choo did not play against the Red Sox on Monday in the series opener, but he extended his franchise-record on-base streak to 48 games on Tuesday.
