Charlie Morton to Tampa Bay Rays: 2 years, $30 million

MLB Free Agency: Charlie Morton and the Tampa Bay Rays have reportedly agreed to a 2 year, $30 million, according to Jeff Passan. The deal includes a third year option that could be worth anything from $1 million to $15 million depending on if and how much time Morton misses.

The 35 year old free agent righthanded was reportedly among those that the Rangers had targeted, having resurrected his career the past two seasons with the Houston Astros. Morton has great stuff but also has a history of injury issues, and logged just 167 innings last year in 30 starts for the Astros.
