The Texas Rangers made a couple of minor moves at the trade deadline, viewing the injured players that they are getting back as their big trade deadline additions.
However, one injured player who is not expected back this year is outfielder Evan Carter. Per the beats, Chris Young today said that Carter was not expected to play again this season. The outfielder, who has been on the injured list since mid-May due to a stress reaction in his back, needs additional time to heal, Young said.
This is disappointing news for the Rangers, who expected Carter to be a key part of the everyday lineup as the team’s starting left fielder.
