The Colorado Rockies and outfielder Carlos Gonzalez have agreed to a one year deal, according to multiple reports. Bob Nightengale says it is for $8 million. This is on the heels of Mike Moustakas, another free agent who found the market to be unfavorable, returning to his original team, the Royals, on a one year deal yesterday.
Gonzalez has generally been a solid contributor for the Rockies since coming over to the club from Oakland in the Matt Holliday trade after the 2008 season.
