Texas Rangers pitcher Brock Burke is beginning a rehab assignment with the Rookie League ACL Rangers, the team announced today. Burke is slated to make his first rehab appearance with the club tonight.
Burke has been on the injured list since April 13 due to a broken right hand suffered after he punched either a door or wall after a 0.2 inning, four run appearance against the Houston Astros on April 12. Burke was moved to the 60 day injured list to create a 40 man roster spot, and will be eligible to return on June 12 at the earliest.
