The Texas Rangers have placed pitcher Cody Bradford on the 15 day injured list with lower back soreness, the team announced today. To take his place on the active roster, the Rangers have recalled pitcher Cole Winn from AAA Round Rock.
Bradford has been arguably the Rangers’ best starter this year, putting up a 1.40 ERA and 2.47 FIP in 19.1 innings in three starts. From what the beats are saying, it sounds like this is something where he is expected to be back after the minimum 15 days. Michael Lorenzen will be activated from the injured list on Monday to take Bradford’s scheduled start.
