The Texas Rangers announced today that Cody Bradford has been placed on the 15 day injured list with a left elbow sprain, and Patrick Corbin has been optioned to AAA Round Rock. That leaves the team with 26 players on its active roster.
We knew that Bradford was going to be on the injured list to start the season, with the team hoping he could be available as a bullpen option sometime in May in a best case scenario. He is the only player on the 40 man roster starting the season on the 15 day (or 10 day) injured list.
