Texas Rangers pitcher Cody Bradford will start the season on the injured list, per manager Bruce Bochy (via the beats).
Bradford was scratched from his most recent scheduled appearance due to elbow soreness. An MRI showed no structural damage, but Bradford will be shut down for up to ten days, which puts him behind schedule to be ready to go for the start of the season.
Tyler Mahle was also scratched from his most recent scheduled appearance, due in his case to forearm soreness. The move was described as precautionary, however, and he is reportedly due to throw on the backfields today.
