Thursday was a beautiful day for Rangers third base coach Tony Beasley.
Beasley, who underwent a year-long battle against rectal cancer for much of 2016, was told he's cancer free during a Thursday checkup at Houston's MD Anderson Cancer Center. It's Beasley's first checkup since October. He was first given an all-clear on Dec. 1, 2016.
He'll have another checkup a year from now. Typically, patients continue to receive follow-up exams for five years after surgery.
