ARLINGTON -- Adrian Beltre, serving as the Rangers' designated hitter on Wednesday, reached another significant milestone when he hit the 475th home run of his career in the fourth inning against the Rays at Globe Life Park.
Beltre's home run off Rays pitcher Ryan Yarbrough tied him with Hall of Famers Willie Stargell and Stan Musial for 30th place all-time. Next up on that list are Lou Gehrig and Fred McGriff, who are tied with 493.
The home run, which came with the bases empty, was also Beltre's 13th of the season, six of which have come in September.
