Beltre passes Chipper; Guzman homers twice

NEW YORK -- Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre passed Hall of Famer Chipper Jones on the all-time home run list and Ronald Guzman homered twice off Yankees right-hander Masahiro Tanaka on Friday night as Texas built a 6-1 lead at Yankee Stadium.

Beltre's home run opened the scoring in the fourth inning and was his seventh of the season and the 469th of his career. That passes Jones for 33rd place all-time. Jones was inducted into the Hall of Fame last month in Cooperstown.
