Baseball America’s 2018 mid-season top 100 prospect list has dropped, updated to reflect the inclusion of 2018 draft picks, and the Rangers have three prospects on the list, all outfielders and all in the 50s.
Leody Taveras, the Rangers’ 19 year old centerfielder at high-A Down East, is the top ranked Ranger, coming in at #50 on the list despite a shaky offensive season. Julio Pablo Martinez, the Cuban centerfielder signed as the consolation prize for the Rangers in the J-2 signing period last year after missing out on Shohei Ohtani, is #52 on the list.
