Free agent relief pitcher Chris Martin has re-signed with the Atlanta Braves for $14 million over 2 years, the team announced today. The righthander was acquired by the Braves from the Texas Rangers in July in exchange for left handed pitcher Kolby Allard.
Martin, 33, is an Arlington native who signed with the Rangers prior to the 2018 season after having spent the previous two years pitching for the Nippon Ham Fighters in Japan. Martin had a 4.54 ERA and a 3.52 FIP pitching out of the pen for Texas last year, and a 3.
