It seems almost inconceivable that Carlos Beltran doesn't have a World Series ring by now. At 39, the Puerto Rican star has been on some of the most successful franchises in MLB history. His .332 postseason batting average denotes a clutch hitter who can carry a ball club deep into October. And yet, Beltran enters his sixth playoff campaign in search of his first ring.
"It would mean a lot," Beltran told the Rangers' official website this week. "This is what drives me," he continued. After coming up short in 2004, 2006, 2012, 2013 and 2015, his first postseason with the Texas Rangers kicks off today against the Toronto Blue Jays at home in Arlington.
