HOUSTON - Houston manager A.J. Hinch offered a fact about his team on Saturday.
"We shift more against Joey Gallo, in case you haven't noticed,'' Hinch said.
No kidding.
On opening day, the Astros used a four-man outfield against Gallo, the Rangers slugger. For this series, the Astros unveiled the trapezoid defense, with six fielders stationed on the right side.
"There's some psychological warfare that goes on,'' Hinch said. "It's like chess."
Gallo went 0 for 3 in the series opener but did draw a walk that set up the run in a 1-0 victory at Minute Maid Park.
