Lefthanded relief pitcher Brock Burke, who was designated for assignment by the Texas Rangers over the weekend to open up a 40 man roster spot for reliever Matt Festa, has been claimed on waivers by the Anaheim Angels, it was announced today.
Brock, 28, was outstanding for the Rangers out of the bullpen in 2022, and good for most of the 2023 season as well. For a calendar year prior to his being designated for assignment, however, Burke was awful.
