As political unrest and protests have grown in Venezuela, many Venezuelan MLB players have spoken up against the government reprisals against citizens. It's an issue that has hit close to home in Arlington, as the Rangers have four Venezuelan players -- Elvis Andrus, Robinson Chirinos, Rougned Odor and Martin Perez.
In a display of unity on Thursday, the four Rangers joined countrymen Luis Torrnes, Hector Sanchez, Luis Sardinas, Jhoulys Chacin, Jose Torres and Yangervis Solarte to call for an end to the oppression that has increased in their homeland with a video shared on social media.
