Story line
Before the 2011 season, the Rangers signed a premier free agent, third baseman Adrian Beltre, and lost a premier free agent, left-hander Cliff Lee.
Boston received picks No. 26 and 40 as compensation for Beltre departing. The Rangers made up for that by getting picks No. 32 and 37 because Lee went to Philadelphia.
The swap did not turn out well for the Rangers.
Boston's selections have appeared in the majors: catcher Blake Swihart and outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.
