CLEVELAND - After receiving an injection of anti-inflammatory drugs for his balky left hamstring, Joey Gallo returned to the Rangers and the lineup Monday.
Gallo had left the club in New York to return to Texas for an exam and, ultimately, which revealed no structural damage to the hamstring. Gallo said there was a bit of inflammation and fluid and was given the injection to treat that.
The Rangers try to be especially attentive to Gallo's left hamstring. He tore it last fall while in Venezuela. He missed a week this spring with similar soreness to what he is feeling now.
