Adolis sidelined by oblique injury

Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia is getting an MRI on his left oblique after complaining of soreness today, per the beats. Garcia has been scratched from today’s Cactus League lineup.

An oblique issue is never good, and in the case of Garcia, this is the same oblique that he strained in Game Three of the 2023 World Series, which led to him being removed from the World Series roster. We will know more when the team announces the results from the MRI, but with Opening Day just 23 days away, this leads to concerns about whether Garcia will be ready for the start of the season.
