The Texas Rangers are roughly one-sixth of the way through the 2024 regular season. The conventional wisdom before the season started was that the Rangers needed to hang around .500 the first couple of months, stay close in the American League West, and then watch the team blossom when the cavalcade of injured pitchers returned.
Thusfar, at 15-14, the Rangers are hanging around .500 so far. They are a half game behind Seattle for first place in the American League West, with the next closest team being the Oakland A’s, who are three back of Texas at 12-17.
