9-4 - Rangers break out to escape Wrigley with finale win 6-2

The Texas Rangers scored six runs while the Chicago Cubs scored two runs.

The Rangers will surely be glad to leave the nippy April conditions in the Midwest, but not before they enjoy following up last night’s breakout from the bats with a continued ability to plate runs, as they evened their high-water mark from Tuesday with six runs in a series-salvaging win.

Five of those runs came off Cubs’ starter Shota Imanaga, an excellent pitcher who had started the year excellently. It’s mildly surprising that the Rangers were able to so summarily handle the lefty Imanaga as they’ve struggled to hit the scant few lefties they’ve faced this year and Imanaga is a good one.
