The Texas Rangers allowed Mike Minor to skip out on pitching in The Ballpark day game furnace today as the Rangers opted for a bullpen game to close out the series against the Seattle Mariners.
Things didn’t really go as planned as Brett Martin allowed four runs, which would have been the difference in the contest anyway, before he could even finish the first inning. The bats never even equaled that amount as they totaled three runs on the day while the Mariners eventually piled on for a total of 11 runs themselves.
