As has been the case for a lot of games this August, it was the young future hopefuls that starred for the Texas Rangers tonight. There was Nick Solak doubling and scoring the game’s first run as the infield prospect playing at third base for the first time has now reached in every game he’s played in the majors.
Jose Trevino was caddying Kolby Allard through his fifth start with Texas as he picked up his third win in August. It wasn’t as easy as his last time out in Chicago but Allard kept the Mariners at bay through 5 2⁄3 innings while allowing just two runs on seven hits, one walk, and four strikeouts.
