The Texas Rangers scored four runs while the Chicago White Sox scored three runs.
There was good news and bad news about Jack Leiter’s return outing in the big leagues. The baddest news maybe is that he’s not Kumar Rocker but that’s also good news because Kumar Rocker is Kumar Rocker.
Leiter allowed a couple of runs in the first inning tonight against the league’s worst team as he brought his poor command with him to his fourth career start after having some recent success at Round Rock.
However, the good news is Leiter did settle in — albeit against the White Sox — and was pitching into the fifth inning with a chance to qualify for his first big league win until Jose Urena allowed one of his inherited runners to score and tie the game.
