The Texas Rangers scored five runs but the Cleveland Guardians scored thirteen runs.
I suppose there’s some grace to the fact that the Rangers didn’t make anyone sweat out this loss as they quickly freed everyone’s Saturday evening up with a loss that was a blowout almost immediately. Thanks guys!
Player of the Game: Walter Pennington admirably soaked up three innings and allowed just a couple (one earned) of Cleveland’s 13 runs. So, I mean, when you’re praising middle relief for wearing one, you know the game was a stinker.
Up Next: The Rangers will try to earn a series win tomorrow in the finale against the Guardians with LHP Cody Bradford set to make the start for Texas opposite LHP Matthew Boyd for Cleveland.
