52-58 - Pitching takes turn toward terrible as Rangers lose 11-6 to Boston

The Texas Rangers scored six runs but the Boston Red Sox scored eleven runs.

Before the season began, the expectation was that the lineup was going to have to carry the Rangers until pitching reinforcements arrived. Instead, thanks to pitchers like Jose Urena holding down the fort, for the most part, the pitching has held up for Texas while the lineup as cratered in ever bewildering fashion.

So, of course, on the other side of the trade deadline, where the Rangers can’t really do anything to adjust their fate except play with the cards now dealt to them, the pitching has decided to become abysmal too as Texas has allowed 29 runs in their last three games.
