50-49 — Brooms brought out, Rangers brushed aside by Astros, 5-3

That was a bad ending to a bad series. Lance Lynn got jumped on for two runs early, gave up two more runs later on, and the Texas Rangers offense could once again do very little against a little known Astros starter. Nomar Mazara homered and Logan Forsythe had a pinch hit home run, but it wasn’t enough.

Player of the Game: Nomar Mazara had a home run — his first in almost a month — and a walk.

Next up: The Rangers head to the Pacific Northwest and take on Seattle tomorrow night, with Adrian Sampson getting the start.
