After a terrible season in 2017, and perhaps an even worse start to his 2018 campaign, Rougned Odor was pretty much left for dead in the hearts and minds of baseball fans with his contract extension already garnering mockery and despair and his place as a starring piece for the future of the Rangers was no longer assured.
It was incredibly deflating after back-to-back 2.5+ fWAR seasons in 2015 and 2016.
Slowly, but surely, with all the talk about the hard work he was putting in to make the adjustments necessary to reclaim his status as a big league weapon, Rougie has done it.
