42-48 - Rangers bash Rays 13-2 to sweep first half home finale

The Texas Rangers scored 13 runs while the Tampa Bay Rays scored two runs.

That’s more like it! After trudging through a first half where the Rangers have struggled to click, today they had it all going in their favor as a lineup that had stalled out too often to get Texas going with any kind of forward momentum had standouts up and down the order in the finale.

Every starter for the Rangers reached base with, ironically, the team’s first half hitting MVP Josh Smith being the last to get on. Marcus Semien was the only Rangers starter without a hit.
