The Texas Rangers scored seven runs while the San Francisco Giants scored two runs.
Maybe the Rangers should just skip to the finale of every series. Since mid-May, Texas is 5-3 in the finale of a series despite going 9-14 overall during that span. Indeed, the Rangers have now won the finale of each of the last four series and have staved off a sweep in the last two series to finish a 2-4 homestand.
To accomplish the win today, the Rangers scored a meaty seven runs with five of those coming in the first two innings which allowed Nathan Eovaldi to have an easy afternoon in just his third outing since returning from the injured late last month.
