Dirk Nowitzki was on hand to watch the Rangers so it’s not like they were allowed to lose to the Baltimore Orioles again. Mike Minor started and seemed pretty hittable but since he was facing the O’s, no runs crossed the plate in his 5 2⁄3 innings and the bullpen was able to keep Baltimore off the board until Shawn Kelley blew the save with one out in the ninth.
The offense gave the pitching no wiggle room as they scored just one run through the first 11 plus innings against baseball’s worst team but it was Delino DeShields scoring on an Elvis Andrus double and then DeShields plating the winning run in the 12th so it was nice to see those two contributing after some rough stretches.
