Bartolo Colon is finally alone atop the list as the all-time leader in wins by a Dominican-born pitcher. Now with 244 wins, Colon has surpassed Juan Marichal in victories after tying the Hall of Famer earlier this month.
Colon isn’t finished breaking records, however. He can now set his sights on Dennis Martinez’s 245 career wins for the all-time lead in victories by Latin-born pitchers.
So two more wins for Colon and he can probably call it a happy career and look forward to retiring with another record: Most secret wives.
