The Texas Rangers won and Lance Lynn pitched well and Jeff Mathis actually contributed in a tangible way and the team played nice defense and the bullpen didn’t stink and they scored six runs and they’re two game above .500 again and they’re still relevant in the wild card standings and it’s June now and they didn’t play down to a bad opponent in the Kansas City Royals and they made Homer Bailey exit early and Jose Leclerc still looks not broken anymore and Joey Gallo sent one over the bullpen and drew another walk and raised his league-leading OPS but gosh dang it to heck today still stinks because Gallo left with an apparent oblique issue that will more than likely cost him time right as he was starting to really build steam as perhaps the best player in the American League so far this season.
