The Texas Rangers scored four runs while the Arizona Diamondbacks scored two runs.
After these two teams met in the Fall Classic just months ago, not terribly much has gone right for the reigning champions of each respectively league with the Rangers sagging below .500 and an injured player for nearly each win so far in 2024 while the Diamondbacks in fourth place in the NL West and experiencing their own postseason hangover.
But at least for tonight, it was like we never left. There was Nathan Eovaldi, back on the mound for Texas just like the last time these two teams faced off.
