The Texas Rangers scored two runs but the Philadelphia Phillies scored five runs.
Ranger Suarez, perhaps the best left-handed pitcher in baseball so far this year going up against the Texas Rangers, a team that hasn’t met a southpaw that they couldn’t make feel like Steve Carlton for an evening. Maybe the only surprising thing about tonight’s game is that the Rangers weren’t no hit.
Suarez did enjoy a career-high tying 10 Ks as he allowed just five hits in his seven innings of work. He left with a 3-1 lead after Rangers’ starter Jon Gray left after two runs allowed on 75 pitches after getting drilled by a comebacker earlier in the contest.
