The Texas Rangers scored two runs and the Seattle Mariners scored three runs.
Mike Foltynewicz deserved a better fate than a loss tonight as the righty allowed two runs in seven innings. That second run in the bottom of the seventh — a J.P. Crawford solo home run — was a killer as it broke a 1-1 tie before a solo Mitch Haniger shot off Joely Rodríguez in the bottom of the eighth provided necessary insurance despite the Rangers’ lineup getting stifled again at T-Mobile Park.
Through three games in this four-game set, the Rangers have scored a grand total of four runs as they move to an abysmal 9-19 away from the increasingly friendly confines of The Shed.
