The Texas Rangers scored two runs but the Colorado Rockies scored four runs.
After scoring in double digits in three of their last six contests on this road trip, you’d have thought that a trip to Coors Field would have kept the runs flowing but the Rangers ran into another left-handed starter that not even lineup savior Robbie Grossman could solve which led to a pitchers’ duel with Jon Gray on the mound for Texas.
Gray, for as good as he’s been so far this season, was uncharacteristically hittable as he allowed eight hits in his six innings, but he as able to wiggle out of danger time and time again to end his evening by allowing just one run.
