The Texas Rangers scored four runs but the Oakland Athletics scored nine runs.
It’s not that Oakland catcher Shea Langeliers has had a particularly good season so far this year, but you would not even conceive that as a possibility if you’d watched him play against the Rangers.
After a three-homer game against Texas in April, Langeliers finished a single shy of a cycle in today’s contest as today’s doubleheader opener starter Michael Lorenzen couldn’t make leads of 1-0 and 4-2 hold up with Oakland smacking around seven extra base hits (eight in total on the day) against the righty in his six innings of work.
