Just in case anyone ever tries to tell you that baseball makes even a little sense ever, the Rangers followed up a series loss to the White Sox with a series win against the Yankees.
Tonight’s series-clincher was a back-and-forth slugfest that felt like a game from a bygone era of Texas Rangers baseball.
Texas trailed 3-0 after an inning, 4-0 after three innings, took a 5-4 lead with a five run outburst in the fourth, trailed again 10-5 after four and a half innings, 10-7 after five innings, and finally took the lead for good after scoring four runs in the bottom of the sixth to make it 11-10.
